I hope you had okay holidays.
I am not dead, in fact I am quite alive over on tumblr
if you want to stare at me reblogging crap, typing random words, and posting occasional sketchbarf. If tumblr frightens you for some reason, don't worry it frightens me too.
(If you have any quick questions you want to ask/etc, taking them there is much more likely to get a quick response since it's tied to my phone and Kindle.)
The tl;dr ish news is that I ended up having to have my LEFT hand/forearm put in a cast also, because I'd actually broken a bone in that wrist. That is now healed, the cast is off, and my shoulder's physical therapy has finally progressed enough that I can draw for more than 20 minutes at a time without becoming a seething mass of pain. Because everything was set back by me having my usable-arm rendered hand-unusable while my usuable-hand had an unusable arm/shoulder attached. Super fun times.
The bad news is that all those months I had to theoretically do things in, I wasn't getting anything done... because I physically could not. So I'm now on doubletime for comic-updates -- and a ton of new work for Emerald City ComicCon
, which is coming up at the end of March. I unfortunately won't have Sky
done in time for that like I'd wanted, but I think given the circumstances it's understandable.
I will probably not be very responsive here until after ECCC. I'll post new comic updates as soon as I have them (I have 11+ pages complete but the scene between is missing and in-progress) - and post ECCC news as that draws nearer. I might also be posting other cool news, if everything comes together. I'm really sorry for being so pitifully slow and shitty at getting things done, but again - my drawing arm's ability to participate was MIA, as have been most of my morale points. My arm's still not 100%, but I'll take 60-70% over 0%.
Dislocated shoulder and broken bones are not a fun time, F-, would not recommend.
